Why We Built This Site
Missouri combines statewide case search with local record custody. Case.net can bring public case information from many Circuit Court divisions into one search, while Court Operating Rules 2 and 4 govern judicial record access and recordkeeping. The official docket or backer sheet and filed documents remain part of the court's file. The Circuit Clerk is the usual trial-record custodian, with municipal division staff handling ordinance cases. A statewide result can help identify the right file, but a clerk or public terminal may be needed for an older item, a restricted document, or certification. The directory includes all county and independent-city routes used to reach the local court.

What We Cannot Do
This is a private reference resource, separate from Missouri courts, Circuit Clerks, municipal divisions, and state agencies. It cannot act for the office that holds a case. In particular, it cannot:
- Provide legal advice or interpret how a specific order applies
- Retrieve an official Missouri docket, case file, or court document
- Issue a clerk-certified copy of an order or docket sheet
- Change, continue, or confirm a Circuit Court or municipal hearing date
- Alter, seal, or remove an entry from the court's record
- Guarantee that local fees, contacts, and procedures remain unchanged
For a Missouri certified copy, contact the Circuit Clerk or division that holds the file. A reference site can point to that office, but only the court or clerk can issue its authenticated record.
Search Partners
Some search boxes connect to outside providers, which control their own service, fees, and results. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, a referral payment may support the cost of this reference site. That arrangement does not give us control over the provider's pricing or the information it returns.
